Fabrication of the #daretolisten pop-up started with a standard 20′ shipping container. We removed two of the corrugated walls, along with the the stock doors; fabricated a new wall that folded down to create an extended floor surface. New doors at both ends join up with additional floor platforms and polycarbonate wall panels to create spaces for a custom DJ booth (shaped like a JBL bluetooth speaker!) and a listening booth where consumers can test out JBL products and compare to their competitors. Inside the container, which featured full power and working LED lighting, we built out stations where guests could get personalized swag and laser engraving done on their headphones and speakers. The first activation was at the JBL corporate headquarters in Stamford, CT before being packed up to travel all over the country.
